Nine Latin American news agencies formed a partnership that gathers and aims to build a collective space for exchange of content, experience and training, to facilitate insertion into the global news agenda of their own regional vision.
The Latin American Union of News Agencies integrate news content, with coordination of coverage and professional exchanges.
This is guaranteed in the charter, signed by Bolivia's public agencies (ABI), Guatemala (AGN), Ecuador (ANDES), Venezuela (AVN), Brazil (EBC), Paraguay (IPP), Mexico (Sports Network), Cuba ( Prensa Latina) and Argentina (Télam). The area was attended by government officials in Uruguay and news channel
Interstate Telesur.
The association has decided to join forces to build a collective space for democratic and pluralistic information, based on a Latin American perspective, capable of promoting the views of the region to better visualize the achievements of the peoples of the continent in the deepening of democracy and social justice.
